Short answer
Run the AI Answer Scraper with only google_ai_overview as the engine, your keywords as queries, and your domain. For each keyword you get the full AI Overview as Markdown, every cited source, whether your site is among them (isCitedAsSource), and the organic results and People Also Ask questions from the same page. Keywords that get no AI Overview come back as no_answer and are free.
A real use case
A SaaS content team has 40 target keywords. A first run shows which of them trigger an AI Overview and which sites those overviews cite. The list of cited domains becomes their outreach and content plan, and a weekly run shows when it changes.
Step by step
- List your keywords as the queries, written the way people type them into Google.
- Set the engine to Google AI Overview only, and choose a country and language.
- Add your brand name, domain and competitors so each row says whether you are named or cited.
- Run it, then filter on
status:okkeywords show an AI Overview,no_answerkeywords do not. - Save it as a task and schedule it weekly to see when an overview appears, disappears or changes its sources.

Tips
citedDomainsshows who Google trusts for the keyword. Those are the pages to earn a mention on.- Not every query gets an overview, and the same query can change between runs. Look at the pattern across many keywords, not one result.
- The organic results and People Also Ask questions come from the same results page at no extra cost, so you get a snapshot of the whole page.
- Run the same keywords from different countries. Overviews and sources differ by country.

What it costs
$20 per 1,000 AI answers, plus a small per-run fee. Keywords with no AI Overview and failed rows are free. 50 keywords where every one shows an overview cost at most $1.00.
Plus a small per-run start fee. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, enough to test. Check the listing for current pricing.
FAQ
How do I know if Google shows an AI Overview for my keyword?
Run the keyword through the AI Answer Scraper with the Google AI Overview engine. If the row's status is ok, there is an overview; no_answer means there was none.
Can I see which sources an AI Overview cites?
Yes. Each row lists the cited sources with their position and domain, plus a list of cited domains.
Is there a free AI Overview tracker?
You can check keywords one at a time in Google. For a list of keywords on a schedule, the scraper is pay per answer, and Apify's free plan includes monthly credit for testing.
Can it track AI Overviews on a schedule?
Yes. Save the input as a task and add a weekly schedule in Apify. Each run is a new dataset you can compare.
