# How to scrape YouTube Shorts views and likes

YouTube Studio only shows your own Shorts. Here is how to get the numbers for any channel.

**Short answer**

Set `contentType` to `shorts` in the **YouTube Channel Email Finder** and add channels or searches. Each row has views, likes, comment count, tags, duration and an exact publish date.

## A real use case

A Shorts creator wants to know which topics work for three bigger channels in the same niche. They export the last 100 Shorts of each and sort by views per day since publish.

## Step by step

1. **Add channels** or search queries.
2. **Set content type** to Shorts.
3. **Pick sort order**: latest or popular.
4. **Run** and export.

### Input (paste into the JSON tab)

```
{
  "channels": [
    "@channelone",
    "@channeltwo",
    "@channelthree"
  ],
  "contentType": "shorts",
  "maxResultsPerSource": 100,
  "sortBy": "latest"
}
```

### What you get back

```
{
  "isShort": true,
  "title": "This trick saves 2 hours a week",
  "views": 1520000,
  "likes": 64000,
  "commentsCount": 812,
  "durationSeconds": 34,
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-02T14:00:00Z",
  "tags": [
    "productivity"
  ]
}
```

Trimmed example. Names and numbers are illustrative; your run returns real data with more fields.

## Tips

- Divide views by days since `publishedAt` to compare old and new Shorts fairly.

## What it costs

$1.50 per 1,000 videos. 300 Shorts cost about **$0.45**.

Plus a small per-run start fee. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, enough to test. Check the listing for current pricing.

## FAQ

**Are dates exact?**

Yes, when full video details are on. publishedAtApproximate flags the rare cases where only a relative date was available.
